When's Medscape Mobile coming to Android, webOS, and Windows Phone?

Tuesday, June 01, 2010

Medscape Mobile is currently available for Apple iPhone, iPod touch, and BlackBerry.

When's it coming to Google Android, Palm/HP webOS, and Microsoft Windows Phone?

It's easy to get the Medscape Mobile app through iTunes and the Apple App Store. If you're a BlackBerry user, you can get Medscape Mobile (a free medical app) on your BlackBerry by visiting: medscape.com/blackberry

I suspect that we'll see a Medscape Android app by the beginning of 2011. It would be great if we see one sooner!

i've received an e-mail from Medscape confirming that an android based version of medscape is in the works. The official roll out date has not been confirmed but likely early autumn 2010 :D

I have also sent an email to Medscape asking for the release of an android version. They replied that they are planning/in the middle of getting one up.

In the meantime I was told to use the web browser and link directly to medscape...unfortunately.

I happen to know for a fact that the folks at Medscape are working on a Droid version of the app. My guess is that it will be out in the new year.

I contacted Medscape and was told there's a app in the works and it should be released by December 2010.

I'm an EMT and very eager to see the Medscape App come to Android. My BlackBerry was no longer a very reliable phone so I moved to the Android as my provider does not carry the iPhone. So many apps, but I miss my Medscape.

If you're a healthcare provider, there are currently only two really useful medical apps on the Android platform - Epocrates and Skyscape. The addition of Medscape mobile for android is so very much needed.
