Notable tweets from Day #1 of the mHealth Summit #mHS12

I attend a number of conferences each year, but none receive the type of Twitter activity like conferences organized by HIMSS. This year at the 4th Annual mHealth Summit, the Twitter feeds are flowing with tweets about mobile health (mHealth), telemedicine, medical apps, global health, patient empowerment, digital medicine, and more.

The official Twitter hashtag is #mHS12

When you look at the #mHS12 Twitter stream, it's sometimes a bit difficult to know who's actually here (vs. following and tweeting remotely).

Here are some notable tweets from the latter part of Day #1 of the mHealth Summit (here's my post on the first part of Day #1):

RWJF Pioneer ‏@pioneerrwjf
@jeffdsachs seeing mHealth breakthroughs in developing world happening faster than in US. Much to learn from their progress. #mhs12

Day #1 morning keynotes were delivered by Mark Bertolini from Aetna and and Harry Totonis from Surescripts. Tweets erupted about the importance of convenience in health care, the use of mobile apps to empower patients, the rapid adoption of electronic health records and e-prescribing, and more. You'll be able to view their presentations here (videos coming soon).
